Venice, California – May 24, 2016 – Google became an art gallery this past Sunday, May 22nd for Venice Family Clinic’s Art Walk & Auctions. This annual event brings together Los Angeles’ hottest established and emerging contemporary artists in raising money to fund health care for the 24,000 low-income, uninsured and homeless patients of Venice Family Clinic. This year’s Venice Art Walk raised more than $700,000 for Venice Family Clinic, with more auction pieces sold than ever before (and art sales are still underway!) to benefit local families and individuals in need of health care.
This year’s event featured a 350-piece silent art auction, artist studio tours and community celebration. Attendees enjoyed access to meet and greets at artists’ studios, live art exhibitions, music, food and drinks.
Venice Family Clinic’s Studio Tours, which ran on the same day of Venice Art Walk, encompassed 50 local art studios, galleries and special exhibits within a 2-mile radius of Google headquarters. This year’s Studio Tour artists and galleries included CAVE Gallery, Corrine Chaix, Marian Crostic, Jean Edelstein, Peter Fetterman Gallery, Maria Greenshields-Ziman, Brad Miller, Elizabeth Orleans, Pamela Weir-Quiton, and Team Bungalow.
This year’s Signature Artists were Guy Dill and Analia Saban. The LIVE art installations were provided by Heather Hansen, Karolina Maszkiewicz, and Quentin “Shplinton” Thomas. Guests also enjoyed musical performances by The Raging Bulls, Darden, Shane Alexander, WaterDawgz, Carlos Calvo and Givers and Takers in the designated Beer Garden.
