(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Pasadena, California — Pasadena Comic Con returned to the Pasadena Convention Center May 24th. The convention normally takes place the last Sunday of January but with the Eaton fire happening at the time the convention had been postponed and luckily most guests were able to attend the make up date. The big highlight was the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue 25th anniversary reunion featuring nearly ever main cast member from the series doing signings and a panel together. With the events of the fire, Pasadena Comic Con also honored first responders and members of the Pasadena Fire department were in attendance also with a fire truck proudly displayed outside the convention center.
Over the years Pasadena Comic Con has grown from being on the lower level of the convention center to filling the entire main floor which is the same one used for Power Morphicon which focuses solely on Power Rangers and related series. Returning guests included legendary puppeteer Sid Krofft, Spongebob voice actor Tom Kenny and the voice of Pearl Lori Alan, original Power Rangers Red Ranger actor Austin St. John, legendary Marvel storyboard artist and director Larry Houston, Looney Toons voice actor Eric Bauza.
Also in attendance was: WWE Legend Honky Tony Man, Flash Gordon’s Sam Joes and Melody Anderson, Cuphead Show voice actor Frank Todaro, Johnny Bravo creator Van Partible,Yo Gabba Gabba’s DJ Lance Rock, to first time celebs like Good Burger, All That, and Kenan & Kel’s Kel Mitchell, Roger Rabbit voice Actor Charles Fleischer, Eric Roberts, Karate Kid III Co-star and Cobra Kai actor Sean Kanan, Bad Santa co-Star Tony Cox, Baywatch Actor Parker Stevenson, Lassie star Jon Provost, My Three Sons co-star Stanley Livingston, Aliens’ Mark Rolston, Ricco Ross, and Janette Goldstein, the voice of Disney’s Pocahontas Irene Bedard, Better off Dead and Bill and Ted actress Diane Franklin, the voice of Silver from Sonic The Hedgehog Pete Capella (also appeared at Simi Valley Comic Con this year), the voice of Dee Dee from Dexter’s Laboratory and Constance Hatchaway from the Haunted Mansion ride, Mad Max and Power Rangers Time Force Actor Vernon Wells and Paul Schrier from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers to Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Power Rangers Samurai Super Samurai who have both appeared at Power Morphicon, Leave It To Beaver Star Jerry Mathers, Billy and Mandy creator Maxwell Atoms, Little House on the Prairie’s Alison Arngrim and Jennifer and Michelle Steffin, the voice of Felix the Cat Thom Adcox, Ninja Turtles actor Tohuru Masamune (Shredder), WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter, the voice of Charlie Brown in the 80’s Brad Kesten, E.T. actor Matthew De Merritt, legendary stunt woman Sandy Gimpel, Michael Gross from Family Ties, B.J. and the Bear’s Greg Evigan, Read Dead Redemption voice actor Steve J. Palmer, Witchblade actress Yancy Butler, and Daniel Riordan from Jingle All the Way and Transformers.
From the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue cast was Sean CW Johnson (Carter the Red Ranger), Mike Chat (Chad the Blue Ranger) Sasha Craig (Kelsey the Yellow Ranger), Keith Robinson (Joel the Green Ranger),Rhett Fisher (Ryan the Titanium Ranger),Ron Rogge (Captain Mitchell), and lead villains Diane Sallinger (Queen Bansheera) and Jennifer Yen (Vypra), and stuntman and suit actor Danny Wayne who was part of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Power Rangers Wild Force and Time Force as well.
