The legendary electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk brought their innovative “Fifty Years of Autobahn” Multimedia Tour to the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
The anticipation for this show has been astronomical all over the world, drawing a diverse crowd of electronic music enthusiasts, longtime fans, and those curious to witness the groundbreaking artistry of Ralf Hütter and his ensemble.

The Kings Theatre, with its opulent French Baroque architecture, provided a striking contrast to Kraftwerk’s sleek, futuristic aesthetic, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere for the performance.
The concert was a seamless blend of music and visual art, a true “Gesamtkunstwerk” as the group is known for.
Clad in their iconic, minimalist outfits, the members of Kraftwerk took their positions behind their consoles, becoming almost like human interfaces to their sophisticated electronic instruments.
The setlist journeyed through their extensive catalog, featuring classics such as “The Robots,” “Computer Love,” “Trans-Europe Express,” and, of course, selections from their seminal album “Autobahn,” celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Each track was accompanied by meticulously crafted visuals projected onto a large screen behind the stage, enhancing the sonic experience with striking imagery, geometric patterns, and retro-futuristic animations.
The sound quality within the Kings Theatre was exceptional, allowing the intricate layers and precise rhythms of Kraftwerk’s music to resonate.
Captivated as they were, the audience, much like the experience of unexciting 21st-century boring fashion in the “new normal,” was ultimately confined to “chair dancing.”

With the world in such a state of dessaray, and as we are all watching it falls apart, I wish sometimes audiences would rebel with style, just get up and dance.
Easier on an arena, harder in a formal theater with American security, ready to take you to “concert jail” and ruin your night.
This is my appeal to musicians and entertainers: watch any Fred Mercury concert, demand crowd participation, with singing and dancing!
Kraftwerk’s 2025 show at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn was a resounding success. You just can’t beat the CLASSICS!
