(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Pasadena, Ca — Power Morphicon (also the team behind Pasadena Comic Con and Simi Valley Comic Con) took place at the Pasadena Convention Center August 23rd-25th. The Hollywood Press Corps had Alex Kluft taking exclusive photos.
With the passing of beloved Power Rangers actor Jason David Frank in November 2022, there were multiple tributes from backdrops to a museum of Frank’s items from the series as well as his daughters Jenna and Skye doing signings.
Last year marked 30 years of the series which began with Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers lasting three seasons as well as a movie. Of the 22 series, many cast members, producers, directors, and crew of all series were attendance: Mighty Morphin & Alien Rangers, ZEO, Turbo, Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury, RPM, Samurai/ Super Samurai, Megaforce/ Super Megaforce, Dino Charge/Super Dino Charge, Ninja Steel/ Super Ninja Steel, Dino/Cosmic Fury and Super Sentai series.
Also joining were cast members from various Ninja Turtles films, Digimon, and part of the Surf Ninjas cast. Fans got a chance to meet their favorite actors, voice actors, villains and see various panels throughout the weekend reuniting casts and bringing together rangers across various seasons to share the same color.
Each guest had a table for signings as photos as well as many doing professional photo-ops including full cast and some in costume. Before the convention there were ad-ons like a visit to the location of the outside of the MMPR command center and a ranger breakfast.
In addition to autograph signings, various merch was available for sale as well as previews of upcoming toys.
