A Night of Jazz in Shimokitazawa: Joris Posthumus Shines

(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Worldwide —  On the cool evening of Sunday, November 10th, the vibrant streets of Shimokita, Tokyo, buzzed with anticipation. Known for its old-Tokyo vibe, narrow mural-painted lanes, and stylish vintage shops, Shimokitazawa is a cultural hub where craft cafes, brewpubs, and bakeries thrive alongside art shows and live music.

That night in a hidden gem called “No Room for Squares,” a cozy speakeasy on the fourth floor, became the backdrop for an unforgettable jazz performance. The intimate bar, packed with around 20 guests, was alive with excitement as Joris Postumus, a talented saxophone player from the Netherlands performed. Accompanied by local musicians Shunichi Yanagi on piano, Daiki Mishima on double bass, and Tamaya Honda on drums, Joris immediately captivated the audience with his soulful saxophone melodies.
