Multi award-winning filmmaker Dustin Ferguson, a fellow Dustin, is having a fundraiser for his much anticipated film “Robowoman.” This will be in the memory of his late producer Randy.
Here’s the touching post Dustin wrote on their go fund me page:
“Our friend and Producer on “RoboWoman” recently passed away during pre-production on the film. He financed our upcoming spectacular Special F/X by the talented Joe Castro (Wishmaster 4, Night of The Demons 3), but unfortunately he didn’t make it long enough to help see his film all the way to completion. He was our sole Producer on the movie as well as a friend to many people on the team. While we weren’t able to receive his remaining contribution in time, we all feel it’s important to see this film through so we can dedicate it in his memory. He was a huge part of getting this film off the ground, and it wouldn’t have been possible without his selfless aid. Previously, he had financed the majority of “Nemesis 5”, which had a recent red carpet awards sweep (“Best Director”, “Best Film – Science Fiction”, “Best Actress” and “Best Actor”) and he was there to experience it in person, confirming his faith in the future success of our next project together, “RoboWoman”.
There was only $3000 left from his contribution, so if you can find it in your hearts to help contribute a small amount so we can atleast reach that goal, we will have the minimum we need to finish the film he helped us start, which is planned to resume production on November 8th, 2018″.

Dirty D aka Dustin Ferguson is a prolific, hard-working and talented filmmaker who has owned and operated several film distribution and production companies, including 42ND Street Films and Sinister Studios. He has directed over 50 features to date, including such notable films as “Camp Blood 4 & 5,” “Silent Night, Bloody Night 2,” which was a sequel of Theodore Gershuny’s film starring Jennifer Runyon Corman (“Ghostbusters,””A Very Brady Sequel”) who happens to be Roger Corman’s real life niece. He is also the editor of “Sleepaway Camp IV” and was asked to direct an “alternate ending to “Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers,” which had been included on the official blu-ray release from Shout! Factory.Dustin has also produced and directed over 80 music videos, and has contracted with Wild Eye Releasing to produce “The Amityville Legacy,””Amityville: Evil Never Dies,” the latter starring Mark Patton (“A Nightmare on Elm Street 2″) and Helen Udy (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”,”My Bloody Valentine”). After mastering the world of horror with ghosts and goblins, this talented filmmaker switched gears with sci-fi with robots and cyborgs by teaming up with legendary filmmaker Albert Pyun on” Nemesis 5: The New Model,” which also starred Sue Price (“Nemesis 2, 3, and 4”). Ferguson is in pre-production for the much anticipated new sci-fi film “Robowoman” starring Dawna Lee Heising (“Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance”), Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s “Game of Death”,”An Eye for An Eye” opposite Chuck Norris) and Aki Aleong (“Walker,Texas Ranger”,”V the series”). Dustin is also the cinematographer of the upcoming documentary, “What An Institution: The Story of Police Academy.”
Ferguson has remade “Die Sister, Die!” from Director Randall Hood with 80’s scream queen Brinke Stevens (“Slumber Party Massacre”,”The Haunting Fear”). He also directed several remakes of Todd Jason Cook’s films including “Demon Dolls” ,”Night of the Clown,” and “The Dummy 2.” If all this wasn’t enough, he directed the sequels, “Camp Blood 4” and “Camp Blood 5” to David Sterling’s popular direct-to-video series “Camp Blood.”
Most recently Ferguson has been granted the rights to remake Umberto Lenzi’s “Ghosthouse.” The original film was re-branded overseas as “La Casa 3,” a move made by distributors to connect it to the “Evil Dead” series by Sam Raimi. “La Casa 4” and “La Casa 5” would follow, neither of which was connected to “Ghosthouse” or “Evil Dead.” The remake is set to star Paul “Pinhead” Taylor from “Hellraiser: Judgement” in the role of the Grim Reaper.
Aside from these many “franchise” sequels and remakes, Ferguson has also launched several of his own film series, including “Meathook Massacre 1-3,” “Silly Scaries 1 and 2”,”Terror at Black Tree Forest” and its’ two sequels, “Tales For the Campfire 1 and 2,” a documentary series called “Penny Pinchers” and the quasi-official sequel to 1988’s “Cheerleader Camp” titled “Cheerleader Camp: To the Death” for New Wave Films.
His latest project, “Horndog’s Beach Party,” reunites him with scream queens Stevens and Lee Heising as well as Troy Fromin (Ox from “Saved by the Bell”) and Vida Ghaffari (“The Mindy Project”,”Jimmy Kimmel Live”). Dustin was recently bestowed with Best Director Awards by the Nollywood Awards and the Lucky Strikes Films Festival for his work on “Nemesis 5: The New Model.”

The video is available on SMOSH’s hugely popular SMOSH Pit YouTube channel starting on October 4th2018, along with additional content running on SMOSH’s Twitter & Instagram pages using the hashtag #ElksDAP. Viewers can watch the full video or a short overview using the following links:
The drug awareness video is created to show how easily a single moment in your life can put you on a path to drug addiction and severe consequences in your life. The video is shot using popular SMOSH talent. In the video the SMOSH cast members Courtney Miller, Keith Leak Jr., and Noah Grossman are thrust into a situation in which, unbeknownst to them, they will meet an alternate version of themselves and see what life could have been like for them had they gone down a different path. The stories show how easy it can be to slip into an addiction, with one story showing how Noah had become addicted to drugs after an accident.
Celebrity make-up artists helped depict the physical effects of various narcotics and prescription drugs on the young SMOSH talent to create a real-life before and after transformation of the actors, leading to dramatic and emotional reactions as they see themselves in these devastating situations. The video shows the shocking effects each drug has had on them and in each case the SMOSH actors struggle to grasp what they are seeing. The experience is shocking and genuinely emotional as they see their own reality recreated in such a dramatic and devastating way.
The video is produced by SMOSH, in partnership with ELKS DAP, the DEA and Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment. Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment joined as a producing partner and was passionate about the project as co-founder Stan Lee has been including real-life issues in his superhero characters since the 1970’s. In 1971, Stan Lee was asked to include an anti-drug story line in the Spider-Man comics while at Marvel and now in 2018, Stan Lee and his company, Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment, continue this tradition by partnering with YouTube sensation SMOSH, the DEA and the nation’s largest all-volunteer drug awareness program ELKS DAP to create a very special anti-drug video for release on the SMOSH Pit YouTube Channel.

ABOUT HARLEY WALLEN:
Multi award-winning filmmaker and actor Harley Wallen has starred in over 40 feature films and TV shows with legendary stars such as Tom Sizemore, Tara Reed, John Savage and Richard Tyson among many others. He started his journey as a martial artist early with Judo at age 7 and is now a 5th degree black belt. Harley also spent time learning other forms of martial arts (Jiu-Jitsu, Tae Kwon – Do black belts as well) and Mixed Martial Arts. His other love at a young age was dance as he was an outstanding break dancer in his teen years. His sheer talent and skill is what landed him his first opportunity in acting as dance at the syndicated Swedish TV cult hit ‘Solstollarna’! Soon after, he was bitten by the acting bug. Harley then moved from Sweden to the United States to boldly pursue his dreams. After a short stint these plans got side-tracked by business opportunities as Harley climbed various career ladders. After returning to acting, it wasn’t long before the roles started coming and the growth he had experienced in the business world started happening to him in the acting world. After the film incentives ended in Michigan, he decided to start making films of his own. Not having a film school background with only limited experience, he decided to go online to further his education in filmmaking and took classes and seminars in acting. Finally, in 2016, Harley and his wife Kaiti formed the film production company ‘Painted Creek Productions‘. The one thing he really takes pride in is his commitment to the character he is playing regardless of the size of the role or the pay check. Harley is now writing, acting and directing and has found his life’s purpose!
Grammy Nominee Chris Bennett and Jazz Giant Bill Marx have released an incredible new album entitled “Something Wonderful” which is now available worldwide. Download your copy today.
Grammy Nominee Chris Bennett got her professional start as a dancer and backup singer, playing Las Vegas and touring internationally behind Jim Nabors and Dean Martin. In Munich, Germany, Bennett met four-time Grammy winner, composer/producer Giorgio Moroder, the producer of Donna Summer, who is dubbed “The Father Of Disco,” and was invited to join his emerging disco group Munich Machine. He chose Bennett to be the lead vocalist for their sophomore album that would contain a dance version of the Procol Harum rock classic, A Whiter Shade Of Pale. Bennett not only recorded the entire album, she also posed for the groundbreaking cover art. Bennett’s runway model’s body and movie star looks caused an international sensation, and made for one of the highest charting and highest grossing disco albums of 1978. Bennett worked with Moroder on several additional projects, including co-writing and singing the theme song to Midnight Express, Moroder’s bestselling soundtrack, which earned her a Grammy Nomination.
Bennett has appeared behind some of the biggest performers in music history, including backing disco diva Donna Summer on several of her biggest hits, including “MacArthur Park” and “Heaven Knows,” as well as working with Johnny Mathis and Rita Coolidge. As a songwriter, Bennett’s songs have been recorded by artists such as Tina Turner, The Manhattan Transfer, The Three Degrees, and Keb Mo.
Bennett is celebrating the release of her 12th album, “Something Wonderful” with just piano and voice, accompanied by jazz giant Bill Marx on the piano. A musical prodigy, Bill Marx is the heir to Hollywood royalty as the eldest son of Harpo Marx, and nephew of Groucho Marx of the legendary comedy family the “Marx Brothers”. Bill Marx is the musician who arranged his father’s most famous repertoire for the harp. “Something Wonderful” is an amazing “time- traveling” adventure with Chris Bennett through the Great American Songbook, with Marx as her guide.
