Step It Up is hosting its 3rd annual Red Carpet Event to wrap up their Summer Dance Intensive on July 29th, 2015 at the Six, an ultra hip Studio City Restaurant.
The Step It Up Dance Workshop mentors and helps young dancers take their career to the NEXT LEVEL! Step It Up is welcoming special guest speakers who can give the girls some insight and advice on their experience in the industry.
Step It Up is a boutique workshop that takes place in the entertainment capital of the world: Los Angeles, CA. This unique two-week intensive was created to help dancers take control of their career. The workshop focuses on MARKETING, DANCE and CHOREOGRAPHY classes, ON-CAMERA CLASSES, ACTING and MOCK AUDITIONS, and FILMING A LOT!! They have filmed commercials, music videos and even a PSA for an Anti-Bullying organization in the past, putting these dancers in real life work situations and preparing them for a career in the industry! The directors felt it was important to help other young dancers focus on their goals and expand their opportunities in the Entertainment Industry. “We really want to see these dancers succeed”, explains, Kelly V. Dolan, one of the co-founders of Step It Up.
One thing that sets Step It Up a part from other workshops is the filming, mentoring and business aspect of dance. This hands-on workshop will only take a selected group based on submissions. Those who are chosen will not only be exposed to the entertainment industry, by current industry professionals, but they will also take home a customized “SIU” marketing package! Included in this package are, Professional Pictures, Customized Reel, and an Exhibit Video, which will be showcased in front of Industry Leaders.
“One of the most important things to do as a industry professional is to guide the next generation, and we are so happy that we could create a program that does that” says Hannah Steadman, one of the co-founders of Step It Up.
