(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Agoura Hills, California — In a heartfelt response to the catastrophic wildfires devastating Los Angeles, the Get Together Foundation, in collaboration with Rock Cellar Productions, hosted a significant benefit concert on January 28, 2025, at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. The “Show of Helping Hands” brought together a stellar lineup of LA-based musicians in a remarkable evening of live music and community support.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly Micky Dolenz from The Monkees, whose performance captivated the audience. Alongside him, renowned artists such as Laurence Juber (Wings), members of The Lovin’ Spoonful, and Steve Porcaro (Toto) graced the stage, delivering unforgettable performances that resonated with all attendees. The event was hosted by Rita Wilde, a beloved radio personality and former KLOS Program Director, who expressed her gratitude for being part of such a meaningful initiative.
“I live in Long Beach, and my heart breaks for my LA friends suffering the effects of these fires. I’ve wanted to do something significant to help and was thrilled to be part of this great event,” Wilde shared during the concert.
The “Show of Helping Hands” was more than just a concert; it was a testament to community unity during a challenging time. All proceeds from the event directly benefited organizations such as the Guitar Center Music Foundation, which aimed to help replace musical instruments lost in the fires, and the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association, among others.
Kevin Wachs, Co-Founder of the Get Together Foundation, emphasized the organization’s mission throughout the event, stating, “Since the beginning, my wife Mare and I have always been inspired by the 60s ideals of peace, togetherness, and love to help solve contemporary problems such as systematic homelessness. We have developed a unique way to unite music-lovers and social do-gooders in service of worthy causes, with the common goal of bringing about change. We are an action-based organization making a difference.”

Established in 2001, the Get Together Foundation has a rich history of producing benefit concerts for various causes, including a live-streamed telethon for COVID-19 crisis relief and a Concert for Ukraine in 2023, showcasing their commitment to community service and support.
