The much anticipated theatrical Premiere of the sci-fi revenge thriller “RoboWoman” from multi award-winning director Dustin Ferguson (“Nemesis 5: The New Model” which is currently available on Redbox) will take place at the Laemmle Glendale at 207 N Maryland Avenue on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The film will be presented as a late-night “Grindhouse Experience”, complete with actual Grindhouse movie trailers and bumpers from the 1970s and 80s. The red carpet will begin at 9:30pm, and the Premiere of “RoboWoman: The Grindhouse Experience” will start at 10pm. There will be a Q & A after the film with Ferguson, the stars of RoboWoman and the film’s crew.
“RoboWoman” follows Vivica Stevens (Dawna Lee Heising, “Blade Runner”, “Nemesis 5”, “Revenge of The Samurai Cop”) on her last night at a temp agency as she accepts a date with a persistent co-worker. Soon she finds herself cornered in a dark park at night and brutally attacked, raped and left for dead by her date and his deranged friends. She’s found barely alive by her roommate, played by Sue Price (Albert Pyun’s “Nemesis 2-5”) and undergoes illegal, experimental “cybernetic” surgery where she is given a replacement robotic arm and visor to correct her vision. However, the new implants don’t settle well because it isn’t long before she decides to seek revenge with the aid of her new attachments. One by bloody one she stalks and kills her attackers before the shocking and revealing conclusion!
