(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — I met Walter Krochmal more than 10 years ago while living near La Nacional. It was during one of those harsh winters where, no matter how cold it gets, you still feel the need to leave home for some fresh air.
La Nacional was open, I walked in and met Walter. He was showing his movie selection from his the Bronx World Film Cycle. After the movies, we watch a Flamenco Show.

Celebrating fifteen years of independent storytelling, Walter Krochmal and the Bronx World Film Cycle returns this January to showcase a vibrant selection of international and local cinema.
This milestone edition bridges the boroughs of Bronx and NYC, hosting premieres at the historic La Nacional in Manhattan and across the cultural heart of the Bronx.
Attendees can expect a curated program that stays true to the festival’s mission of elevating underrepresented voices and fostering a deep connection between the screen and the community.
