Brandino’s 70th Birthday Party at BJ’s in Burbank

(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Burbank, Ca — The Hollywood Press Corps stopped by Brandino‘s 70th birthday party at BJ’s in Burbank. The party took over the patio with lots of friends and jazz players and people from the music world stopping by. Brandino looks great! He’s maintaining his physical therapy schedule and is in good shape.

Brandino is a nine time Grammy winning producer, composer, arranger, and bass player. He recorded the song singularity with Robby Krieger in 2010. Brandino also worked on the song War Toads by the Doors. Brandino was Aretha Franklin‘s road bass player for over 20 years. He played with so many legends on the stage and in the studio. He worked with James Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, Mary J. Blige, Outkast and Stevie Wonder. Too many legends to mention.

Brandino has worked with Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Stevie Wonder. A few of the luminaries at the party were; Brandino’s sister Cheryle, jazz bass player Edwin Livingston, Brandino’s brother, Brandino’s friend Kyle Driver who is a CPA, Dr. Gwen Diver, keyboard player Rahn Coleman who played with Brandino and Aretha Franklin back in the day. Sound Engineer and event coordinator at Santa Monica City College, Big Mike Gunderson stopped by.

It was such a great party with a lot of presents. It was a fun afternoon with lots of sunshine. The cake was out of this world. Thanks to Cheryle for putting everything together. She does so much for Brandino. We look forward to next year!
