(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Los Angeles, California — The Seven Grand bar in downtown Los Angeles was buzzing with excitement as it hosted a memorable celebration for Kevin “Brandino” Brandon’s 70th birthday. On Tuesday, September 24th, the venue was packed, with fans, friends, people shooting pool and fellow musicians coming together to honor a true legend in the music industry. For many attendees, this was a special occasion not only to celebrate Brandinos milestone but also to enjoy an electrifying night of fusion jazz.
The evening kicked off with a unique twist—the bar manager, Rick, took the stage to introduce the band, marking the first time many had witnessed him in this role. His enthusiasm set the tone for the night, amplifying the energy in the room.
Brandino, known for his incredible talent on the bass, led an impressive lineup of musicians that included Mr. Tim on saxophone, Tyrone Griffin on trumpet, Lyndon Rochelle on drums, and Andy Langham on keyboards.
The Hollywood Press Corps is excited to announce that the Soul Savages, featuring iconic guitarist Robby Krieger, Brandino on bass, Ed Roth on keyboards and Franklin Vanderbilt III on drums made the Grammy ballot with their new album!
As the music flowed, the crowd embraced the celebration. Kevin’s journey from Compton to becoming a Grammy-winning bassist was celebrated through fusion jazz. Ty G on trumpet had two heartfelt solos. Mr Tim also had a few saxophone breaks that made the jazz come alive.
