(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) —
On February 22, 2025 I was walking home after seeing a play in Downtown Manhattan and I stopped by The Roulette Intermedium by chance.
I am a proud member of the Roulette Intermedium in Brooklyn, NY.
I was told it was a private event and I couldn’t get in, but in a real NY moment, I said: “Sometimes you just don’t want to go home…” and a nice gentleman called Sebastian, the movie producer from A/Political said: “Just get in”.
I’ve never seeing the Roulette so jammed packed. It was the US Premiere of the “The Visitor”, a comedy film by Bruce LaBruce, shot in 2024, in a undisclosed location.
Bishop Black, a burlesque performer, stars in a new interpretation of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s 1968 allegorical film, Teorema.
The film satirizes contemporary society, addressing trauma, family, history, politics, and social issues.
With a mix of graphic design, art installations, and dark humor, ‘The Visitor’ entertains with a sharp edge, offering both laughter and a sense of a shared experience.
It was nominated for the Panorama Audience Award for Best Feature Film and the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival.
