(Hollywood, California) Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 ~ Saluting the 80s in a Whiskey A Go Go style, hilarious comedian Hal Sparks MC’d the Rock Against MS event on the Sunset Strip. It was good seeing everyone again as we came together to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. The top celebrity of the night was Nancy Sayle who started Rock Against MS at the world famous Whiskey five years ago. From the very stage where Jim Morrison once performed with the Doors, Hal whipped up the mosh pit with Nerd Hallen. Think Revenge of the Nerds meets SIR shred masters with Hal doing amazing heavy metal vocals. Hal’s vocal chops have improved over the last few years.

Whiskey regular, John B, who was at the DOORS show at the Whiskey in 1968 was at the show to check out the bands and support Rock Against MS. We watched Idol X do their amazing Billy Idol tribute. Idol X is Robert Sarzo from Queensryche playing Steve Steven’s licks and Matt Eberhart singing spiky hair Billy Idol songs (snarl). I had Cradle of Love stuck in my head for three days.
Ellen Zuckerman from the Hollywood Press Corps was at the event in the front row taking photos. All of these photos are by Ellen.
One of the highlights of the evening was country pop singer Annie Bosko singing with Guns and Roses’ Steven Adler on drums. Sam “Bam” Koltun from Faster Pussycat (guitar) and LA Guns (local legend) bass player Johny Martin (who looks like he should be in the Ramones).
The Rock Against MS Foundation produces so many cool events in addition to the annual concert. They are currently creating the Rock House. This is a brick and mortar space that will provide support to people with MS.
There were so many bands and it was great to see everyone again. On the tribute band side with Hal’s Nerd Hallen and Idol X with Robert Sarzo, there were the Iron Maidens, a Tom Petty/Johnny Cash tribute band called Petty Cash, The legendary GayC/DC and a special mention to the Street Drum Corps.
Dramarama played a bit which was really cool. From Great White, Dan Mcnay and Robby Lochner played. Patrick Stone from Budderside sang. Really so many talented people. Such a great night. We wanted to publish every picture that we have. Rock Against MS is such an important event. Enjoy the photos from this years Rock Against MS 2022.
