Hollywood Shines at the Opening Night of The Circle

(HOLLYWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Hollywood, CA — On January 30, 2026, the Greenway Court Theatre in Hollywood buzzed with excitement for the world premiere of The Circle, a tragi-comic play by Stacey Martino Rivera, directed by D.W. Jacobs. This highly anticipated production drew theater enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening.

The night began with a red carpet event, where the atmosphere was vibrant. The main celebrity in attendance was Stacey Martino Rivera, the play’s writer, who captivated attendees with her presence and insights. Also on the red carpet was D.W. Jacobs, the talented director, adding his creative flair to the evening. Among the notable figures was Germaine Franco, the Academy Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning composer known for her work on Encanto and Coco. Additionally, Elpidia Carrillo, an actress celebrated for her roles in Blue Beetle, Predator and Salvador, graced the event, bringing her own prestige to the occasion. Also on the red carpet and having a lot of were Nicholas Gonzalez and Sharon Lawrence. They have a new movie coming out soon! Dan Guerrero was taking pics on the step and repeat. He is a theater legend with roots in New York City.

The Circle intertwines the lives of three generations of the Medina and Mahoney families during an absurd weekend in Texas, echoing the chaos and emotional turmoil of the 2016 election season. Rivera’s sharp wit and insightful commentary resonate with contemporary audiences, striking a balance between humor and heartache.

As attendees settled into their seats, the energy in the theater was palpable. There was lots of laughter and applause.
