(HOLLWOOD PRESS CORPS) — Los Angeles, CA — Greg V & Wisdom finally had the opportunity to share their latest sounds they’ve been working on for the last few months. They completed their debut on Friday evening, April 3rd.
Self-described as “vibey, soulful instrumental music that’s like a soundtrack without a movie”, they brought a mix of original numbers, as well as some familiar covers.
Frontman and lead guitarist, Greg V. was a pro-guitarist working with many famously badass artists prior to becoming a Los Angeles based portrait and music photographer. Some of the many music artists he has worked with include Double Trouble, Edgar Winter, Wynonna Judd, Keith Urban, and Melissa Etheridge.
Bassist Andy Z also has a very long list of accomplishments as a producer/engineer/mixer/composer/songwriter and has had hundreds of songs used in TV, film, and commercials.
Rounding out the trio is drummer Victor Bisetti, who has toured with Los Lobos and Eric Burden.
Together they brought to life songs from Greg’s solo album, Tailgate Troubador, including Rusting Soul and Porch Swing. Some of the familiar tunes included Don Henley’s Boys of Summer and Chris Isaac’s Wicked Game.
The evening was part of the Chatsworth West End’s First Fridays, a monthly event held on Devonshire St. between Owensmouth Ave. and Jordan Ave. The event features a musical guest, food trucks, occasional art-based activities, artisan vendors, and even a fire dancer on occasion. The music portion of the evening took place inside the My Creative Outlet event space. Future events at this venue will be held on the Second Saturday of each month.
