“BLOOMING WONDERS: A Celebration of Spring” is the new exhibition at ARTECHOUSE NYC. It is a stunning intersection of art, technology, and nature. Through high-resolution projections and interactive visuals, the ARTECHOUSE Studio team has created an enchanting digital garden that perfectly captures the essence of Spring. The immersive experience of walking through dynamic, vibrant blossoms is both innovative and moving.
Founders of ARTECHOUSE NYC, Sandro and Tati, say: “Certain art can’t be described; it must be seen and experienced.” ARTECHOUSE is NYC’s innovative art space dedicated to experimental and technology-driven installations. “BLOOMING WONDERS: A Celebration of Spring” showcases ARTECHOUSE Studio talents and collaborates with digital artists such as Malavita, Woosung Kang, and Mei Tamazawa.
Walking in, you will find one of the many interactive digital art installations, such as “Crystal Bloom,” an ARTECHOUSE Studio original circular screen “where koi glide and dragon flowers rise.” Take a moment and play with a firefly. There are many Japanese and Asian elements in this show, and this is the first of them.
Originating in Japan and China, koi are colored, domesticated varieties of the common carp bred for decorative purposes in ponds. Symbolizing perseverance, strength, abundance, and transformation, they are often called nishikigoi (“brocaded carp”) and are celebrated for their vibrant colors. Just what we need it.
Or, perhaps, you are just one of those old-school New Yorkers who needs a cocktail when you walk in. The XR Bar, with multi sensory drinks – alcoholic or not – is right there. Pay attention to the art behind the bar that plays with you and your group of friends.
Continuing, you will find a photo booth and many other interactive art installations for all ages, including games such as Pachinko, a digital version of the classic arcade game, with a fresh Gundam anime aesthetic. Another game is Upcycle, where visitors control a bike-like vehicle that challenges players to dive through piles of discarded materials in search of valuable, reusable items.
Downstairs at the main space is where the magic culminates, originally designed to celebrate Spring. Taking inspiration from the 2022 annual National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., ARTECHOUSE Studio digital artists revisit, in a 22-minute loop, various digital art installations that culminate in butterflies feeding on the nectar of cherry blossoms, reminding us that Spring is coming.
Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki gifted 3,020 cherry trees to Washington, D.C., in 1912 as a gesture of friendship between Japan and the United States. Planted around the Tidal Basin, these trees were facilitated by First Lady Helen Herron Taft and launched the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival we have today and are an inspiration to this show.

One of the collaborations at ARTECHOUSE is with Japanese CG artist Mei Tamazawa, a Tokyo-based well known in Japan’s largest music festivals, “ROCK IN JAPAN” and “COUNTDOWN JAPAN,” as well as public art projects exhibited in international airports.
Find some Greek Pythagoras wisdom walking down the stairs where explanations of patterns found in nature are displayed. Everything is interconnected; there is a symbiotic relationship in our world, and it is up to all of us to keep life blooming every season.
Located at Chelsea Market close to the High Line, this exhibition is a must-see urban oasis.
Chelsea Market in NYC is a renowned food hall and shopping concourse located in the Meatpacking District, housed in the former National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) factory complex where the Oreo cookie was invented in 1912. Developed in the 1890s, the industrial site was redeveloped in the 1990s into a premier culinary destination. Its basement houses ARTECHOUSE, a 6,000-square-foot immersive digital art space located in a century-old, formerly abandoned boiler room. It preserves raw industrial elements, transformed into a cutting-edge, 270-degree, floor-to-ceiling, 18K resolution digital art space.

The addition of “BLOOMING WONDERS” is a testament to ARTECHOUSE’s role as a leader in experiential art, offering a unique and refreshing way to celebrate the season in the heart of New York City.
