Dirty D aka Dustin Ferguson is a prolific, hard-working and talented filmmaker who has owned and operated several film distribution and production companies, including 42ND Street Films and Sinister Studios.  He has directed over 50 features to date, including such notable films as “Camp Blood 4 & 5,” “Silent Night, Bloody Night 2,” which was a sequel of Theodore Gershuny’s film starring Jennifer Runyon Corman (“Ghostbusters,””A Very Brady Sequel”) who happens to be Roger Corman’s real life niece. He is also the editor of “Sleepaway Camp IV” and was asked to direct an “alternate ending to “Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers,” which had been included on the official blu-ray release from Shout! Factory.  Dustin has also produced and directed over 80 music videos, and has contracted with Wild Eye Releasing to produce “The Amityville Legacy,””Amityville: Evil Never Dies,” the latter starring Mark Patton (“A Nightmare on Elm Street 2″) and Helen Udy (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”,”My Bloody Valentine”). After mastering the world of horror with ghosts and goblins, this talented filmmaker switched gears with sci-fi with robots and cyborgs by teaming up with legendary filmmaker Albert Pyun on” Nemesis 5: The New Model,” which also starred Sue Price (“Nemesis 2, 3, and 4”). Ferguson is in pre-production for the much anticipated new sci-fi film “Robowoman” starring Dawna Lee Heising (“Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance”), Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s “Game of Death”,”An Eye for An Eye” opposite Chuck Norris) and Aki Aleong (“Walker,Texas Ranger”,”V the series”). Dustin is also the cinematographer of the upcoming documentary, “What An Institution: The Story of Police Academy.”

Dirty D aka Filmmaker Dustin Ferguson

Ferguson has remade “Die Sister, Die!” from Director Randall Hood with 80’s scream queen Brinke Stevens (“Slumber Party Massacre”,”The Haunting Fear”). He also directed several remakes of Todd Jason Cook’s films including “Demon Dolls” ,”Night of the Clown,” and “The Dummy 2.” If all this wasn’t enough, he directed the sequels, “Camp Blood 4” and “Camp Blood 5” to David Sterling’s popular direct-to-video series “Camp Blood.”

Most recently Ferguson has been granted the rights to remake Umberto Lenzi’s “Ghosthouse.” The original film was re-branded overseas as “La Casa 3,” a move made by distributors to connect it to the “Evil Dead” series by Sam Raimi. “La Casa 4” and “La Casa 5” would follow, neither of which was connected to “Ghosthouse” or “Evil Dead.” The remake is set to star Paul “Pinhead” Taylor from “Hellraiser: Judgement” in the role of the Grim Reaper.

Aside from these many “franchise” sequels and remakes, Ferguson has also launched several of his own film series, including “Meathook Massacre 1-3,” “Silly Scaries 1 and 2”,”Terror at Black Tree Forest” and its’ two sequels, “Tales For the Campfire 1 and 2,” a documentary series called “Penny Pinchers” and the quasi-official sequel to 1988’s “Cheerleader Camp” titled “Cheerleader Camp: To the Death” for New Wave Films.

His latest project, “Horndog’s Beach Party,” reunites him with scream queens Stevens and Lee Heising as well as Troy Fromin (Ox from “Saved by the Bell”) and Vida Ghaffari (“The Mindy Project”,”Jimmy Kimmel Live”).  Dustin was recently bestowed with Best Director Awards by the Nollywood Awards and the Lucky Strikes Films Festival for his work on “Nemesis 5: The New Model.”

DIRTY D Unleashes MIDNIGHT DANCER Video Directed by Brainztem

Award-winning filmmaker Dustin Ferguson, aka “Dirty D” is at it again! He has just released the second music video from his “Hollywood Rock” EP with German Hip Hop-Electro Artist E-Rocker, titled “Midnight Dancer”.

Midnight Dancer

This much anticipated video was directed and edited by music video filmmaker Brainztem, famous for his visual work with rising Hip Hop artist Cuban Doll, most notably on the clips “Bankrupt”, “Down To Ride” (featuring NyNy) and “Made It Now”. Fresh off the set of directing his most recent video for “Shake Sum”, director Brainztem teamed up with Dirty-D for his new video, which was filmed in Huntington Beach, California.

Dirty D and the gang

The clip features “Dirty D” dressed in different “old skool”-inspired outfits, rapping his lyrics in a variety of locations, including a limousine, a luxurious duplex and a secluded park with break dancer “Jason Sensation”. The video features several notable cameos, including Carrie Annie Bernans of “Black Panther” fame, Dawna Lee Heising from “Revenge of the Samurai Cop” with Tommy Wiseau, Freddy James, who is a staple in the recent films of prolific B-movie director Jim Wynorski (“Chopping Mall”), Hollywood stunt-driver Ryan Rasberry of “Los Angeles Lifers” and actor and martial arts black belt Esau McKnight of “Spy Hard”.

The “Hollywood Rock” EP is available to stream on Bandcamp, as well as through iTunes and Spotify.  Dirty D’s follow-up “mixtape” titled “All It’s Missing Is My Name” is currently available for FREE on Soundcloud. I really enjoyed the catchy beats and the retro inspired theme. Dirty D and his entourage know how to party!
