Writer/Director and New Yorker Thomas J. Churchill’s unofficial loose Prequel that could be easily be for Night of the Living Dead…
A Church Hill Production & Apothecary Entertainment present this epic horror/thriller film, Lazarus: APOCALYPSE that is produced by
David M. Parks and written, produced and directed by talented multi-hyphenate Thomas J. Churchill (Check Point, The Emerging Past, Mr Hush, and Syfy’s Monster man Episode 2). This film was released on September 1st at all WalMart stores and other fine retail stores and is also available on Video on Demand.
Lazarus: APOCALYPSE revolves around the character of George A. Lazarus (Ray Capuana of Emerging Past), a savvy insurance investigator who schedules routine interviews with twelve employees and sinister owner Mammon Beelzebub (artfully played by Churchill) of the Deadly Sin Cigarette Company upon the receipt of a rather suspicious insurance claim. In the process, he learns that all twelve had recently been fired for being sick at the job, and then subsequently and without a trace, they disappeared. Two weeks later, with Lazarus now a missing person, his heart-sick fiancée Bethany Loomis (Natalie Victoria, Dead Head) and Chip (Kevin Eugene Franklin) undertake the huge task of finding him. While retracing his steps, they learn that what was initially regarded as a simple fraud investigation case may actually be the beginning of the end of the human race.
Set in Hollywood in 1957, this horror film noir also stars other noted actors in the horror genre such as Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night, 976-Evil, Emerging Past), Brooke Lewis (iMurders, Sinatra Club), Mike Marino (Emerging Past, Niko The Impaler, Mr Hush), Josh Hammond (Jeepers Creepers 2, the Tripper), James Duval (Independence Day, Donnie Darko, Sushi Girl),Brian Andrews (Halloween), Janet Tracy Keijser (House on Haunted Hill), Kenneth J. Hall (The Puppet Master), Krista Grotte (Emerging Past) and Taylor Morgan Lewis (Women of Wrestling). Roy Knyrim’s SOTA FX (The new Friday the 13th TV series, SyFy’s Monster Man, 2001 Maniacs, Wish Master 3, The Prophecy 3) provides the special effects.
“If Hitchcock told a zombie film, this would be it,” declares Churchill.
